Hello my friends! Now as you may our may not have heard the 3DS's price drops from $250 to $169 in the U.S on August 12th. Now your probably thinking that Loyal Nintendo fans just got burned pretty badly.... but Nintendo has announced a Ambassador Program for those who use the Nintendo E-shop by August 11, Those in the program get 10 NES games and 10 GBA games for free before anyone else on the E-shop.

So what are your thoughts? do you think this a fair trade off? will you now reconsider purchasing the 3DS? I personally feel like this is a great thing that Nintendo has decided to do as someone who bought the 3DS on launch day and has friends who have not yet purchased one.

 Peace.

Sounds like a cool deal, but I still need to trade in my old DS Lite for cash.

I design signatures.

i really don't find handhelds that much fun anymore, when i do get one i just play on it for a couple mins then don't with it again in a couple months so its pretty much a waste of money for me

It definitely makes me consider it, but the 3DS has all the signs of a soon to be failed console anyway with this early of a price drop, so I'm still leaning towards no.

Plus, I'm more interested in the Vita at this point in time anyway.

I have to say that it sounds like an interesting deal for those who paid for the 3DS at launch but It'll be kind of a loss for those who don't spend that much time playing handheld games or rather prefer getting their portion of money back to spend it on other stuff.

Anyhow, hearing about how the 3DS didn't do so well during it's first launch and all that doesn't really suprise me that they would reduce it's price this quickly.

ok heres something I found out about this earlier, looks like Walmart's gonna lower the price of the 3DS on August 9th instead of 12th but the deadline for the ambassador program hasn't changed so people will be able to get the 20 free games and the discounted price...

Thoughts? Feelings? anyone changing there minds on purchasing? I feel a little anger as this defeats this purpose of the Ambassador program and what Nintendo was trying to do with rewarding the die hard fans, as for getting even more burned im not to mad about that seeing it was my choice and someone else is always gonna get better price than you if I was afraid of the something like this happening then I really wouldn't bye anything at least until like 5 years later.....

Well I've said my peace.
