I'm sorry to any TFS fans, but I don't think their series should be on the Toonami stream. It just feels out of place. If they're gonna put ANY abridged series on this stream, it should be Yugioh:TAS. It was the original and it's actually funny. Staying by my point, this stream should just stay with the shows we grew up with and then some. Internet parodies of any kind shouldn't be allowed. You want TFS, go on Youtube or their site.

EDIT: I feel that the series feels out of place in the stream. It can be watched on Youtube or the TFS site. I've seen TFS and while it makes me chuckle, I do not feel it is worth the hype and popularity it has gained. I know I just opened a can of worms here(as the series has a LOT of immature little fantards).

Just because something is the first, doesn't mean it's the best and all the others are inferior, I know some of the abridged community and they do some really funny shit

So I tuned into DBZ Abridged on Wednesday this week to see how it was presented with bumpers and such and was greeted by Neighborhood Cluck Production's DBZ Abridged Movie The World's Strongest. If Toon's gonna argue that TFS and only TFS shall be shown because of their production quality then what the HFIL is that parody doing in the mix? The production quality compared to even TFS' first episodes is poor. The writing is weaker as well. Granted that one was written by Lanipator who is plenty funny but if the stream as Dead Zone Abridged on it as well I call bullcrap. Vegeta3986's writing is terrible and you should all be thankful that Tree of Might Abridged didn't happen (he was writing that one).
I suppose the justification is that members of TFS made those DBZ movie parodies and that Neighborhood Cluck Productions mutated into Team Four Star but Team Four Star isn't Team Four Star without KaiserNeko (the supreme editor and director) and Takahata101.
So if that qualifies as good enough then there are many Toonami shows that were abridged that are far better entertainment. If nothing else Gutted Wren Studios Mobile Suit Gundam Abridged whose quality speaks for itself.
Yeah those are of poor production quality but they are pretty enjoyable despite that and fill up an hour timeslot really easily collectively. I want to like the MSG abridged series but damn its slow, could be edited much better and it might just be me but it seems more like a general fandub then a comedy series. I honestly don't know anything about those different production teams I just assumed they were different iterations of TFS. Whats wrong with Dead Zone, there were a lot of memorable and funny lines. I completely agree with you on the production though, its terrible.
Dead Zone did have it's moments and people still quote Douchebag like crazy so I guess it's not terrible but a far far cry from TFS quality in writing and certainly in production value. If you're going to play a long form DBZ Abridged then Bardock Abridged is the one to show but I'm sure you've already got that one.
I disagree that MSG's editing could be better though I guess the earliest episodes could have looked nicer, now ShazMyBot (the editor) uses Premiere and remastered MSG footage. I suppose it also starts off a bit slow and the episodes can go long but I enjoy just about every minute of their episodes despite that.
Team Four Star is a group of previous and current solo (Kaiser, Lani, GanXingba, Antfish, hbi2k, LittleKuriboh), duo (Masako and Vegeta3986, Takahata - without his original partner) and team (Megami33 - without the rest of her team though some have had cameo roles) abridged series creators. Some consider them the best of the best though I'd argue there are solo, duo and team abridgers that rival their individual series and even their collective DBZ Abridged. Though most of them are only actors on DBZ Abridged while Kaiser, Lani and Taka are the writers and Kaiser is the editor. I honestly like Kaiser's own defunt Lupin Abridged series better than Team Four Star's episodes at least for a writing standpoint where as his editing is obviously superior in DBZ Abridged but Lupin was still pretty slick editing wise.
There are many, quite frankly hundreds of abridged series out there and not all of them are worth watching but several of them are quite entertaining but that's a matter of preference. Abridged has become a sub-genre of parody for the internet even since LittleKuriboh's YGO Abridged gained it's massive following.
Several great Abridged series have absolutely no connection to Team Four Star and it's members though many of them cameo in other series on occasion.
To say there's more out there than off-shoots of Team Four Star would be a massive understatement.

I meant the editing as in actual scene length and space in between dialouge, the procduction quality is great on those. And don't get me wrong I've seen the yughio abridged series and even played a few episodes here before and its hilarious and I've taken a look at all the Abridged series mentioned by Paradox before. Its not a matter of what else is there as much as its a matter of well what else is on par comically and relevent. It sounds like I'm missing something here, but I took a look at said abridged series and found incomplete works. Yughio abridged has been the only thing in my opinion that I've seen on par comically, its the production and irrelevence combined that make it an undesirable option. I'm not ignorant to size of the abidged community and I see the production value in MSG and Outlaw Star and even the Big O one, but they all seem under developed and undermanned on the writing end. Plainly the only two abridged series that I've found funny are the DBZA and YughioA series, the latter of which is too inconsistent in video/audio quality and recieved poorly (at this channel) for its irrelevence. I don't see what else I could possibly do here.

It was nobody else's decision but mine as with everything else here. The yughio thing, that series is of poor quality, I disagree on it being funnier and less of the demographic of toonami fans want to see yughio over dbz. Also did you watch it? Mercurius made some amazing intos for them and the quality of each episode is consistent and pretty decent. There are a lot of factors involved that go into whats played here. Besides its only a special every wednesday evening, whats 1 hour a week? Also read the schedule if you haven't done so yet, welcome to the channel.
