Are you afraid of Death? Does the thought of plunging into the depths of the unknown absolutely irk you? Then "Dead Like Me" is the series for you!!

George Lass is one of the most attractive, charismatic, stand up dead girls you'll ever meet. Although she began her life as an average 18-year-old girl with aspirations and hopes (yeah right) like the rest of us, she meets her unfortunate - and downright hilarious - demise at an all too young age. Rather than join the Dead for eternity, George spends the beginning of the rest of her afterlife as a Grim Reaper, whose job is to guide lost souls to the Other Side. In a way the Grim Reapers must meet a quota, collecting souls until it is their time to pass on. Although her 9 to 5 involves reaping, George spends a great deal of the series reconnecting with the life and the family she never knew nor cared about, not to mention discovering much about herself and others.

The former Showtime series is one of my personal favorites, with just the right blend of humor and introspection. Every character is likeable, from the sarcastic voice of Ellen Muth (who narrates the series as George) to the stern, yet often pensive reaper Rube, played by Mandy Patinkin (phenomenal acting). I strongly suggest this series if you're looking for something different from the norm.

I caught an episode halfway threw one of the seasons, which usually turns me off the show for a while, but it was humourus and intresting enough for me to warrant going to and watching sometime soon.

Squids gonna squid.

Dead Like Me was fantastic. As was Reaper. :/ I really wish more episodes would just appear.

I did enjoy bits and pieces of this series but I didn't get to see it very often sadly.
