Personally, I love these games. The first time I played Diablo 1 I was about 8 or 9 and it scarred the shit out of me. Fast forward a few weeks back, I get a hold of D1, make a character and play. I've beaten the game like 5 times with my Rogue. Easily one of the best games I've ever played.
I never got into D2 because from the screen, it was confusing as hell, but my friend convinced me to get it and we've been playing ever since. We finished the game like 2 weeks ago, and were replaying on Nightmare, so intense. It just might be the best PC game I've ever played. Ever.
And finally, diablo 3 is coming out, and for once in a really long time, I'm excited for a game. I really can't wait to get it [if my shit pc can run it that is]

I'll probably Nerd out and grab D3 Since I last played d2 was years ago , I still have every diablo except the first one I think.
Diablo is pretty intresting but from what i hear and can tell so far is that they've change alot from d1/d2 in diablo 3 , so the who level system + spells are different which might make it seem like a different game. Don't forget that they also created the "auction house" which is stupid as hell but for a money hungry company seems predictable, Diablo seems to be going the W.o.W way. Well we will see 2012 (before we all die) or so I hope lol.
You should pick up the first one, its very different from D2. Very simple but way creepier imo.

It has gone the way of WOW as far as gameplay "looks" but it may still be free (when/if it ever comes out) Been a long wait for Diablo fans lol
As for the "auction house" it's not stupid at all if you were familiar with how bad multiplayer on LOD got. There is such an immense amount of spam on the site just to sell items that it makes the game no longer fun, laggy and annoying as hell. You cannot enter a game without a bot jumping in the room and spamming the screen up causing you to loose view of the screen and die. Chat has even been bombarded with the nonsense of those spam bots. I believe the auction house is a great idea since it will leave no place for those spam bots to do business. Think about how much the average site like d2legit makes on selling diablo items be it hacked or legit from bots? Why not give back to the players and allow them to buy and sell amongst themselves vs a single guy making a killing?
I've played since Diablo 1 hit the shelves, still have that active (those characters never get deleted) and i've still got my Diablo2 LOD account going for when i get bored. D3 looks interesting but I can't so much pass judgement on how it will compare vs the old ones. It looks better - that's for sure, but doesn't mean the gameplay will be so much "improved" rather overkill for the oldschool Diablo fans that don't want to play WOW.
yea the first one is a lot difirent from 2 probably why it keeps me coming back and playing both, I think i spend about 4-5 hrs a peace in game play. The joy's of being a loner i guess. LOL
I'll probably check out dialbo 1 again but diablo 2 seems to flow better when i play plus there are still a ton of people who play it , lan and stuff. (o_o).
I really enjoy Diablo I and II, but they are alot more fun with a group.

My friend and I play on my hamachi server, we just started Act 2 on nightmare. How far is your character maybe we can get on together.

Anyone play Sacred 2? It kinda reminds me of Diablo slightly.
I'm about to get into Diablo II once the ladder reset comes in effect in a few days.
Also, how do you guys feel about anyone subscribed to WoW for over a year gets Diablo III free? (not sure if that's exactly how it is but there is something about WoW subscribers getting Diablo III free).
Well i go addicted to the game when i was about 13, and know that i found out about D3 i started to buil my own pc to be able to handle the awsomenes of Diablo 3
