Everyone loves pokemon, sure. But I always loved Digimon more. The story had more depth, the villains were intimidating, the dialouge seemed more witty, and the transformations were cooler.
^this times 1 hundred elventy billion, kajillion, mamillion, zillion.
And they all have mon at the end of their name, I mean whats up wit dat?
haha Most people are saying that they disliked Digimon because it was a rip-off of pokemon(it kinda was)
I grew up with Cartoon netwark and Disney as the only to cartoon channels so i did not watch much of digimon unless i went next door
But here is the funny thing
Pokemon are starting to look like digimon now >_> *coughPokemonBlakandWhitecough*
I would say Digimon is better i like the story plus you got to love the transformations.
Why is everyone calling it transformation? It was digivolve.
Because Digimon DIGIvolve and pokemon Evolve. It's simpler to just put "transformation"
I love both shows a lot. Back in the day, I think I was the only kid in my school who actually liked Digimon more than Pokemon. Weirdly enough though, I've actually grown to like Pokemon more than Digimon as time went on. I can even watch some of the later seasons like Diamond and Pearl and enjoy it because I recgonize, and still enjoy watching, the same characters I grew up with. I can't really say the same for Digimon, it's just not the same without the original digidestined.
Pokemon

Hands down.

I grew more attached to the digidestined and the digimon on seasons one and two than i could ever on the pokemon series. One of the reasons for this is because digimon seemed, in a sense, more scarce then pokemon. The hand helds were available for pokemon and the t.v. show was on more often (ref: Pro26), compared to digimon when new episodes were aired on weekends and only there were only a few games out for their franchise (digimon world, online digi flash games). A second reason is because of peer influence. My friends would rather talk about how far they got in their gold or silver version than talk about the pokemon show, whereas the only thing to talk about that was digimon related was about characters, digimon, and episodes, which became integrated with many childhood memories during recess and in class collaboration.
