dope tracks. The Danger Zone was so hardcore that I was scared to listen to it when I was younger. first time I heard a rapper speaking of Satan and atheism, didn't know what to think. haha. shit still knocks to this day. now I appreciate it more than ever. RIP Big L.

Oh children once again it seems I am called back from the dead to guide you in the ways of music.

If you haven't checked them out yet my recommendations are as follows:

Earl Sweatshirt

OFWGKTA

Tyler the Creator

Waka Flocka Flame

I stumbled upon the OF "movement" earlier in the year, and I've been a fan ever since. Their subject matter turns some people off but they can be surprisingly complex lyrically at times. Earl is definitely one of the most gifted young rappers I've heard, and Tyler, Hodgy are no slouches either. Mike G is also pretty underrated. Tyler, Syd and Left Brain almost always produce quality instrumentals as well.

Waka sucks.

Ha I am actually pretty happy someone else knows their music. I had the pleasure of seeing OFW live at SXSW and have been turned on to them ever since. I am glad you like them though since it isn't often you run into another person who likes Earl or OFWGKTA .

Any chance you listen to A Tribe Called Quest too?

Flocka is debateable...

They're dope, saw them in concert. Not to mention Lo End Theory is often praised as one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time. (Not my personal fave, but it is a classic.) But if by Flocka you mean Wacka Flocka, that's not up for debate. There's no argument that can counter dude being wack. haha.

Yep. They've come a long way in just year, but still haven't really broken into the mainstream yet. I'm looking forward to when Miie G finally gets an "official" release.

I definitely listen to ATQC. Q-Tip is one of my favorite rappers,

What exactly makes you a fan of Waka's?

I am a fan on Waka because he is on my drunken playlist. It is a list shared by NWA, Bone Thugs, Eazy-E and Young Jeezy. Why I have these songs in my possession is anyones guess. It is just fun to listen to sometimes. I wouldn't admit it outside this message board though.

Also, any chance either of you live in Austin? OFWGKTA got leaked for playing at Fun Fun Fun Fest this year and I am dying to go. We could do a small meet-up if you are intrested.

Interesting...

Even drunk, I wouldn't listen to Waka. I'd listen to the rest of the artists you named sober, even though I'm not a big fan of Jeezy.

I don't live near Austin. I'm definitely going to see OF in concert eventually though.
