That is so true! I never even made that connection. It really is a tragic irony, the way MTV made a complete 180. It's also sort of like how 10-20 years ago, Real World was a show about social commentary. A social experiment, basically, and it addressed real issues about culture and serious problems. Now it's about how many people they can get to have sex with each other.
Just thinking about that now makes me appreciate Daria even more for what it was, and what it encouraged. Back when eclectic weren't looked down upon.
you'll never guess what i saw on tv the other day. you guessed it: Daria. I found it on this channel called LOGO. The strange part was that I looked ahead for more episodes and saw none. so i guess it was a one time thing.

It's between Samurai Champloo intro and Bleach's first intro. (it's just so happned you posted videos of those too)
i would have to say battlecry off of samurai champloo. that song really opened up my eyes to a completely diffrent plane of music.
