When I was in highschool my elective was radio digital arts. During that time for four periods every day I was jacked into the schools internet listening to every song I could find. I listened to everything from Frank Sinatra to The Rolling Stones to 50 cent. However the genre's I appreciate the most is death metal and Punk rock. Not the messages just the music really.

I'm a fan of every genre but my favorites have to be Underground Hip-Hop, Experimental, Ska, House, and Indie. I'm open to any new suggestions of every genre. Music is what keeps me rolling.

I like noise music
Noise is a very arbitrary term thrown around. It could be a crying baby, a car siren, a dripping faucet,. And I dont mean noise for the sake of noise. I just mean creating dance, rock, electronic, hip-hop, whatever you want, but doing so with a greater pallet of sounds other than slightly distorted guitars, an average synth/keyboard sound, and drums with generic chord progression. The world is a symphony of sonic beauty imo. And quite frankly I can go a lifetime w/out hearing more Rolling Stones.

I'm taking you know who Deerhunter is then, right? Or Boris. They make a lot of noise. I find the noise appealing though : )

The noise is more oriented around their instruments, but on Cryptograms by Deerhunter there are a lot of tracks with nature sounds in the background with light synths played over them. It's worth a look. Just saw the word noise and they popped into mind. : )

Yea bro, Cryptograms is a crazy good record. Its insane how they made an album so dreamy and ambient fuse well with the abrasive and sort of punk asthetic. I've heard the term ambient punk used to describe Cryptograms and I'd say thats pretty damn spot on. One of my favorite albums for sure . And Boris is like amplifier worship, wall of sound kind of noise. luv em both : )

Lake Somerset
one of my favorite songs EVER!

My favorite genre is Drum Corps. It's unappreciated, but has a lot more going for it than most genres. Also, Indie/folkish stuff like Bon Iver, Ben Folds, Regina Spektor and the like.

Also: TECHNO
