I like i5555 as much as the next guy; I both appreciate and respect it for being the beloved TA ritual that it has come to be, as well as recognize the significance it has on Toonami history (and here comes the but), but I can't help but think I'm not alone in saying that most (if not all) Toonami- and Toonami Aftermath- faithful have seen i5555 enough to gouge their eyes out. I think one of the things that caught my attention about TA and made it stand out (once I got over how I was able to watch Spaceghost) were the feature films. I think i5555 should on occasion, if not often, be replaced by an anime film like we see on Sunday.
With the rapidly increasing popularity of TA, I don't think newcomers should be excluded from that warm and fuzzy feeling you get from watching i5555 again and reminiscing. I personally would love it to come in at random times; keep people on their feet, maybe when traffic isn't so high and there isn't so much lyrics spam. I know I don't need to suggest any anime titles here; there are enough circulating. I just want to know what anyone thinks, or any modifications or additions to this.

I think when it comes to "Deep rooted traditions" (such as I5555 on Sat.'s in this case) it isnt the norm to go changing it because it "gets old" after a while. I do understand what your saying and it would be nice to have an extra movie on the weekend, theres just no way they would ever break the fabled tradition of I5555 Saturday nights (plus I, like Senor, love Daft Punk as well =P)
plus if leaving for the hour or just dealing with it isn't a viable option, u can always just PM someone and have a good chat while listening to some of those sweet, sweet beats...
You being the "next guy", I've already said I love Daft Punk/ I5555 just as much. but I think it would be productive for the site. I'm considering the fact that eventually the site has to progress. It already is, obviously, but I can't see the harm in replacing interstella with a movie, even every other week.

I agree man. I men, before I found this site, I got the dvd for christmas! I was so happy o finally have it in my hands! But then I found TA, and they show it every freakin saturday night! I'd be nice to change the line up a little. Same goes for Bebop.
I never get to see it since it's on way too early in the UK. There's no chance of seeing it with the chat going on TA as far as the UK is concerned without pulling an all-nighter.
The same goes for the Sunday film too. There's no way for people in Europe to see it at all without all-nighters.

i5555 loses some momentum and notability and much of my appreciation when its on every week. But it's just not a sought-after issue (or an issue at all) between the admins. I'd love to enrich my TA viewing experience with a little variation. expand my horizons lol

Cool story bro. Though, I DO understand that it is overplayed, I DO love it and Daft Punk, so I got no problem with it airing once a week. Here's a counter suggestion,
maybe go do something productive in the hour and few minutes it's onor you can sit on your ass and wait, I don't care.TL;DR, we're not budging. Deal with it
