What's up, my name is Raivu.
I'm 21, DJ/Producer, and I'm currently traveling the country living out of my backpack to pursue my career doing what I love to do and to chase my dreams.
(I make fluid hip hop beats, like Toonami DnB and Adult Swim hip hop)
I grew up with Toonami, and like many of you, I was completely heartbroken.
My buddy Wes told me to check out Toonami Aftermath, something I'd only dreamt would happen but didn't know existed.
For the last 3 days or so, I've been hopping on every night after work and check it out, reading your posts, and watching hours of non stop live stream Toonami.
lol I'm a DJ and a Producer.
I take my days to make music and get my set list ready for my next show, and relax during the night.
I'm staying with a couple of friends and saving up for a place until I play in Georgia this winter.
I can die happy now.
Yours truly,
Raivu
P.S. You all seem like great people. Don't be a stranger.

Seems legit.

I'm self employed.

...And you make enough money, as a DJ, when they make very little money to begin with, with no professionally record industry published work, living out of your backpack.
Still don't believe it.
[EDIT] Thats what I thought, you don't live out of your backpack entirely but rather with friends.
Sorry I'm not homeless enough for you?
Everything I own, eat, and operate with IS out of my backpack.
And yes, as a DJ you tend to have decent income as long as you're on the ball about finding work.
I pay for the food I eat. The only thing provided is a roof and a bed.
I don't know what's so hard to understand.
It's really not that hard to believe. I'm just in charge of making sure I have work.
That involves putting forth much more of an effort than a regular day job, and I get paid when I need it, and enough to keep me alive and happy.
That's what self employment is.
"Living out your backpack" usually means you're homeless and unemployed, that's why.

nooo wrong kind of homeless.
I am living out of my backpack. Everything I own fits into it, and I buy all of my own food and necessities. But I'm definitely not homeless, or any less of a human being because of it.
I'm still the same 90s kid reminiscing over Toonami enjoying myself and living life to the fullest.
It's just what I do.
Since your "Living out of your backpack" as the way u put it, I'm assuming you do all your music making on one laptop? Cause I'm sure theres no fucking way you can carry CD-J's, Mixers, and Turntables all in that backpack around with you lol
Anywho.... welcome to TA by the way =D

lol yeah, I do all my producing right on the laptop.
I tried carrying a small controller with me but it was stolen. So I decided I'll just wait until I get a place.
There really is no other way to specify living out of a backpack to clean up the confusion for everyone, as much as I'd love to.
And thanks
