This is a really hard one for me to chose, personally theres aspects of these two that i like and don't like between movies and TV among other things. I would say I like both Equally, but if i was to chose one or the other I would have to give a slight edge to Marvel, mostly because I love Venom =P

That rug really tied the room together...

Although I started out with Marvel, I'm going with DC because of Batman.

Marvel. I grew up on the Spiderman and X-Men shows.

DC. I was just talking about this yesterday. I don't take marvel seriously. And  I wasn't really an X-Men fan growing up.  Plus DC is a classic like aldanrinku said.

"The road we're walking down now
Although it might be defended with a high wall
Don't stop, just crash through it
And head on towards our dreams"♪

Could I find a more difficult thread to post an opinion? It all stems from the idea of nostalgia and childhood memories, in that, which superheroes reflected a more positive time period in your life as a child, whether it's at home watching the program, at a friends house, or even in front of a T.V. in the dining room at a relative's house. I remember my parents bought me a McDonald's happy meal and I got a Fantastic Four action figure, The Human Torch, around the age of 4. Over time, I got into X-men T.V. show at 6 years old and never left that for a while, as I started collecting actions figures from that Marvel branch of superheroes ( you know where I'm headed), and had a Captain America game for the Sega Genesis that I used to play in 97'. Needless to say, Toonami is what got me into Batman and Superman after I had already been caught up in the Marvel Madness, and I can't deny Marvel as my direction in this thread.

I think Marvel. It's tough because whichever character you choose, they have an equal on the other team. Like Superman vs Thor or The Sentry, Green Lantern vs The Surfer, Batman vs Ironman etc. Can we all agree that Aquaman would get his ass handed to him by the Sub-Mariner though? Not even joking, of all the superheroes I just listed Aquaman is the only one who gets a red squiggly line under his name from spell check haha. Try it out.

I don't know. This is a tough call but the only reason I say Marvel is because they have more backup. The X-men and Fantastic Four far outnumber the Teen Titans and Doom Patrol.

This question is stupid, because it's comparing Imperfect characters to Perfect Characters.

DC has always made flawless characters. With maybe one weakness that is easily scrubbed away. The most Famous DC characters, the founders of the JLA, are literally gods. Superman has literally beaten down gods. Batman has killed gods and has ways to kill gods. Superman and Darkseid being the best examples.

Hal Jordan, has fought and beaten living emotions and pushed away the God of death, by himself sometimes. He even became a Spectre, an instrument of the Presence, the One Above All. His weapon, the power ring of will, is a weapon that runs off of pure thought and will. A god Weapon, by DC's definition.

The Flash. This case Barry Alan. Has the ability to run at speeds close to the speed of light and is the embodiment of the essence of speed. THe Speed Force.

I could continue with a huge list of heroes and Villains that are close to Gods in the power spectrum.

While Marvel has insanely strong characters that are weak from their own vices. Tony stark, is like Bruce Wayne/Batman(just not a dick, but an asshole). A person who has an almost infinite pool of money at his disposal and is ready for just about anything; But Tony. You throw a curve ball into the mix and tony is guzzling down a pint of anything he can get his hands on. God forbid someone breaks up with him.

Then there are the few Marvel characters that are gods: Like Thor and Sentry. Who are brought to an almost pathetically human behavior. Crying of the Woes of everything they can't control.

Of course there are other Perfect Characters in the MarvelU: Like Galactus, Wolverine, Apocolypse, Scarlett Witch and Deadpool(just to name a few), who are either obscure or just over rated(deadpool). They are few and far between and are in their own pantheon most of the time.

TL;DR: DC RULES!!!!
