I'm pretty sure I'm signed in, but whenever I type in the chat it'll have usstream followed by some numbers then my reply, then asks me to sign in even though I already am. No matter how many times I sign in, I won't be! But I'm already signed in because when I scroll to the bottom my account and everything is there instead of the username/password boxes.
on a side note, this is an awesome idea and I've been enjoying the classics + shows I've never seen (reboot).
The Toonami Aftermath website and the chatroom aren't part of the same system. The chatroom is on Ustream, and it is poorly programmed to where you gotta type something to be prompted to login each and every time you load the chat. I think the site should use Mibbit ( http://www.mibbit.com/ ), it is a great chat client, the best I've ever been in, and is also fully integratable, allowing it to use the same login service the website it's on uses, so if you are logged into Toonami Aftermath you can go in the chat and you'll automatically be logged in, you won't even have to manually log in.
Course, it would need to be hosted on site, and toon may not want to do that as it'll use more resources.
Having said that, how does one access the actual chat room on Ustream?
having the same problem
I get the same problem with the chat program on the Ustream page as well.
I have the same issue as well. What do we need to fix it?
okay, i figured out how to fix it guys. you need to go to Ustream, create an acount there also, weird i know, then this is what i did. clicked the 24/7 tab, searched toonami, clicked on the first video stream, this is NOT the stream on here, but the chat will show up and you should be logged in if you clicked the log in link from the email that Ustream sends you. Once you are logged into the chat on there, F5 (refresh) the page on THIS site for the chat and you should be logged in, if not, you can now log in and it should work. It worked for me. Hope this helps guys!
also, from what i have figured out, you need to keep the Ustream one open. im working on figuring out a way you don't ahve to since no one seems to want to help us out.
I haven't had log-in issues, but recently I've been unable to connect to the chat server. I've tried the basic ways to alleviate the problem but I can't figure out what's causing it.
I've tried:
Using different browsers.
Fiddling with flash settings.
Making sure Flash was up to date and functioning properly otherwise.
Making sure adBlock wasn't stopping the connection from succeeding.
Anyone have any other ideas? Or is this a widespread problem? I'm new to the community, so I haven't been in contact with enough other members to know if its a pandemic. Also, I agree that mibbit is a generally more stable chat client, but I'm willing to work with whatever.

It is pretty common http://www.ustream.tv/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=3
If you want to bypass the flash chat completely it IS an IRC channel.
