Yeah... other then the Game review (which I mentioned already), Deadmans Wonderland looked pretty interesting and I am looking forward to seeing that. Cassherns Sins to me personally looks pretty lame and I'm hoping that gets swapped out the most.

So It was somewhat good for its first airing, but there are a ton of things that can make it better, first of course are new original promos and bumps that will hopefully get made as more money is hopefully funneled towards Toonami. I would love Toonami to be on more nights (or even better: daily) but if that doesn't happen, one thing I think AS needs to do is give up the 3 hours they have on Saturday now and give it to Toonami so they can show more classic and new Toonami shows.

That rug really tied the room together...

Found this interview while looking up Toonami stuff today.  It basically says they actually have little money to work with, and they'll be able to get more shows if the ratings go up.

@Senor, yeeah I know, but I figured it would free up space so I figured why not. No harm done.

Also, since I messed up the link before for the Toonami rap, here is another one.

I hate to say it, but I don't see this lasting that long. I'm glad they decided on getting some new anime into the mix, because banking on nostalgia only would cause the block to go the ways of "the 90s are all that" (i mean do people still watch that nostalgia block still?)

But i think the thing holding back a toonami revival is the old, outdated, stale adult swim. Yep. I said it. Since like 2005, adult swim has been very stale. Since getting rid of adult swim would blow peoples minds and will never happen, all I'll say is I'd like to see some way to shorten adult swim, make toonami its on block (with no references to [adult swim] during the block). I'd love to see toonami comeback as a late afternoon thing, but that wouldn't work due to the shows would have to be edited. But something along the lines of

Mon-Fri

10pm - 12am: adult swim

12am - 2am: Toonami, probably 3 new shows and a show thats more nostalgic to the early 00s. On Fridays have a special feature like a movie/music videos similar to gorillaz or daft punk, etc.

Meh, just a thought. No use in really talking about it i guess, since there is no way they would shrink adult swim

dtx1800 I totally agree with you..  I've heard alot of recommendations for the new Toonami - most of which are conversations that revolve around old shows that people already saw and think are good.  There is nothing wrong with rewatching a classic but I feel the reason why the ORIGINAL Toonami was so popular was because we were young and hadn't seen the classics that it showed.  For most of us, it was exciting to finally see Goku go super saiyan on television for the first time..  Or to see a brand new series we never heard about and be gladly surprised as it turned into one of our favorite all time shows.

As I said, there is nothing wrong with rewatching a great show..  But the New Toonami ( which i beleive is the line of thought you are going on as well ) should bank on the awesome animation of anime today.  There are NUMEROUS great animes that have come out within the past year or two, some of which have gotten popular and some not.

Anyone who says recently there haven't been any good anime coming from Japan is not only wrong, but also they are living a very sad and depressing lie of a life.  There are more than enough new options to choose from.  I think the REAL problem will be the money in order to get the rights to show them since they are new etc.

Thanks for posting your thoughts dtx1800

DVR'd the whole thing as I was out of town for a friend's wedding when it aired, but still haven't gotten around to watching it.  With the Stanley Cup Final and my sudden revitalized interest in playing Earthbound on the SNES, I'm beginning to think that I might accidentally push off watching it for a few weeks....
