Didn't see any properly formatted SC threads, so here.

Brief Summary

Samurai Champloo is basically a sword-based anime (chanbara) about 2 vagabonds who find themselves indebted to a waitress for helping them evade excecution and saving their lives. Now the three, Mugen, a rogue samurai who's fighting movements resemble that of a breakdancer, Jin, a shunned master swordsman of many arts, and Fuu, a 15 year old chick, are out to find a Samurai who smells like sunflowers so that Fuu can have closure.

Not-so-brief  Summary

I think this would fit perfectly as a rotation for Cowboy Beebop. Samurai Champloo is an excellent anime created by the same producer, and was aired on the same network as CB, Adult Swim. They're both 26 episodes and I think it'd help variate the stream so the same shows aren't aired all the time. It's almost like a hip-hop oriented Bebop that uses swords instead of guns, not to mention it uses music from the favorite producer, Nujabes. Both are excellent animes (though my preference will always be SC) and I think they'd make an excellent hour-block/rotation.

Trailer:

Promo: Season 1

Promo: Season 2

There's only 3 people that can do what I do, and I'm 2 of them.

SC was actually better than Bebop, in my opinion. everything from the story line to the characters. every fight scene is sick to the last episode. i'm on board with this suggestion, i think viewers would enjoy it.

I say No, I watched this show and liked it alot but I don't really see it on here. It doesn't have that nostalgiac feeling at all really and can't see a spot for it on the schedule.

This is definitely one of my favorite shows...but I'm pretty much on the fence with it airing on TA. It's not that nostalgic, but it is a high quality show. Bah.

I don't think the "nostalgia" argument is relevant anymore, considering we have Full Metal Alchemist on the schedule.

what do you mean by that? FMA showed in 04 plus it even fits the time slot it is in, so I think it fits perfectly. Champloo on the other hand isn't nor like I said before don't really see it on here nay a spot on the schedule for it.

This isn't about whether or not FMA belongs, but where Champloo could potentially fit into the schedule. Both animes (Champloo and FMA) were aired on the AS block of CN in 04, so one could argue that neither of them originated from the "Golden Era" of Toonami. As Shogun says, it would make a fine addition to the schedule around a late-night or weekend spot..i'm putting too much thought into this.

No one said this is about if FMA belongs >_> This is clearly a thread about champloo, I was just stating that FMA aired in 04 nothing more nothing less.  Also Champloo aired in 05 >_> Another thing people on here always say it would make a fine addition to the so and so block. But honestly where? I don't really see a secure spot for it anywhere, like Squid said "i can't really see it here. Unless maybe it was switched in and out of rotation with Cowboy Bebop, which i find will be very unlikely, since Bebop has the whole space theme going on."

That was your opinion regarding FMAs place on the schedule, to which I responded "this isn't about FMAs placement in the schedule." My point was that people saying Champloo doesn't belong because it isn't "nostalgic" is faulty reasoning.

I understand you don't see a spot where it could fit into the schedule, Squid makes a valid point on that issue as well. But as long as a show like Dr. Katz is on the schedule, (which I don't object to), who's to say toon couldn't make another exception?

(I Fail at quoting)
