Static Shock is an American animated television series produced by Warner Bros. Animation. It premiered in September 2000 on the Kids' WB! blockand ran for four seasons, with a total of 52 half-hour episodes.

The series centers around the adventures of DC Comics superhero Virgil Ovid Hawkins/Static and is loosely based on the original Static comics. The series predates the re-appearance of Static in the main DC continuity by several years. After the show's initial run on The WB it was later picked up for rebroadcast by Cartoon Network, airing initially during the Miguzi block. Disney XD began airing reruns of the series (starting with season 1) in February 2009 in the United States. Currently, Warner Bros. has no plans to release the series on DVD. However the company has stated that it wishes to eventually release all of the DC animated universe on DVD.[citation needed] As of 2011, the first season is currently available for download on ITunesAJ McLean and Neil Patrick Harris were special guests on the show.

i think it would be a cool show to have on Aftermath,

it is from the eraly 2000's era

it would fit in well with Batman TAS and Beyond,

Oh god, yes! Wasn't Static Shock so well received that he was added to the DC universe?

Take a step back, breath in and out, relax, and appreciate.

I was suprised to see how many votes this got in that poll o_O. I'm sure this show would be succesfull in bringing people back to childhood, but after a month or so of viewing and the nostalgia effect starts to fade, your left with nothing but a crappy show. Sorry i just dont see the appeal...

Yeah no. Jolt hit the nail right on the hammer. Thats what I like in a reply, future foresight (and mighty correct if I say so). Here, have a free 5 rep.

And to keep this all in one post, I also gotta vote against this suggestion. =/

I had to search for this one because apparently, not so much with the popular. It should be though. Strong characters, decent story and great synergy back to back with BtAS and Batman Beyond. I don't know, maybe it's just my nostalgia kicking me in the brain cells but I loved it. Still do. Maybe a Rising Sun spot if nothing else?

I would love to see Static Shock on TA, but I agree that it should be reserved for the Rising Sun lineup or something.

Yes, I completely agree that Static Shock would fit well into the TA lineup. More on Saturdays and Sundays with Batman beyond, it brings up nostalgia that it is associated with many of our childhoods. I don't find it suprising that it received so many votes to be seen, its a great show especially during the later episodes with all the guess stars and Justice League members. Also, it hit home from time to time as the show would follow Virgil Hawkins' life and how he had to deal with real life issues while balancing a superhero life. So.. yea i'm up for Static!
