These are 2 of my favorite animes of all time.....just want to see what the TA community thinks. Personally, I think Trigun is the better anime, but Hokuto No Ken was the first one that got me into it so it holds a special place for me. Plus Ken is just plain badass!
I've never heard of Hokuto No Ken, so by default Trigun is better.
Hokuto no Ken is Fist of the North Star. I'm sure you've must have heard of it.

It's one of the Greatest anime ever!! I'm sure you've heard of the 1986 movie of it? It's prolly the only one in english, it's animation is on par with AKIRA.
I still haven't seen a single episode of Trigun. I'm thinking maybe I should watch it.
I enjoy both, though I wouldn't rank either in my top ten favorite anime list.
