I'm surprised no one has made this thread before so I thought I would start it up. We all love to play games, and the best games usually have the best soundtracks. So what do you guys think are the best video game sountracks, and if you can the best songs from those.

I'm going with the soundtrack from Vice City. Real smooth and it fits in perfectly. I hear some of the songs today and immediately think of VC.

I've played almost every GTA, but nothing is quite like VC's. It's probably because VC was one of the first GTA's I played so there is a nostalgia factor going on, but now that I'm older and I've played all the other ones, I can say VC's is the best. The story, characters and timeframe are so well done, and the music adds that extra kick. FlashFM and Wave103 were the best imo. (with some VCPR)

I would say some of favorites are this, this, this and this.

Guitar Hero. Hands down. LOLJK I really like most of the songs in Guilty Gear. Phoenix Wright has an amazing soundtrack. Most if not all the FinalFantasys. Chrono Trigger. I could go on. Here's my fav song from GG:

I played "rainy mood" back several times before I realized it was a mashup, it was so smooth.

It's not THE greatest soundtrack, but it has some quality jams, especially while you're fighting, here's one of my favorites:

I agree, Vice City had probably the best soundtrack of all the GTAs, and you picked some classics. But how could you possibly forget "I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls?!

It's weird but I don't remember hearing it in-game, only through trailers n such.

But by default I think everyone likes it.
