Nice. Managed to double post my first time posting on this forum. Sorry for the epic fail.
Mine was Speed Racer. I loved that show. That got me into all the others Sailor Moon, DBZ, Pokemon.
Ranma, Robotech, Akira, Lupin III
My dad was a fan of anime in the 80's so we had the essentials lying around as a kid. That was pretty much the extent of all my anime viewing until Toonami 97'. After Toonami ended (for me) in 2002 I never watched any other Anime and till this day still do not. Everything I've seen has been either stuff I saw as a kid around 5 years old and toonami in my elementary and middle school years. Obviously I screen shows for the broadcast here and its been interesting to do that but the interest to actually sit down and watch something has long gone for me... but it doesnt mean I can't appreciate Anime, because I do, and more often then watching I'm researching and talking about Anime in pursuit of finding those diamonds in the rough for you guys.
Mine would have to be Rurouni Kenshin, Pokemon, and Outlaw Star.
Mine would be Gundam Wing the first time I saw it i could not stop watching also DBZ had a big impact on me as well
Mine was Rurouni Kenshin I couldnt stop watching anime after that.
for me i just grew up watching anime right next to acme hour and toon heads. the list above isnmt even all the anime i watched as a kid or growing up.
The one to REALLY get me into anime was Naruto. Now yes I had seen rurouni kenshin, DBZ, Sailor moon, yugioh, pokemon and the like of course.
But Naruto was the first anime I saw before I really became active on the internet, I had seen other shows because of all the hatred that existed for Naruto. To my surprise many of them were really, REALLY good.
Even to this day I still love Naruto even though its probably the most hated anime EVER.
gundam wing was what brought anime to my attention. i cant say that i am into anime that much, but Gundam Wing introduced me to anime and that whole genre of cartoons.

I'd seen Akira and Ninja Scroll at a young age because of my brother, but I didn't really enjoy those films until I got older. I had also seen Pokemon and DB/DBZ here and there, but I really didn't connect to them (I still don't 'connect' with them, but I don't mind them now). So the anime that really got me into anime was Neon Genesis Evangelion, when it showed during giant robot week. I was just in awe at how awesome it was. And then when they showed Gundam Wing the next day (I think) that basically sealed the deal for me and me say, "Ok, I better look into this."
