Sunday 11/14/2010's feature film.
I love this movie. A friend told me about it before and I bought it on a whim because they liked it so much and I fell in love with it as well. For being a non-fantastical/sci-fi Studio Ghibli movie its really good. What did you guys think about it while or after watching it?
I've always loved Whisper of the Heart. It's a genuine, sweet story. Some people forget to appreciate the complexity, and sometimes simplicity, of human nature so they gravitate more toward the movies filled with blood, tits, and robots to fill their void.
but what about robot nature... ;_;
What do I think?
This is the only scene of the movie you really need to see:

Overall, worth watching once, but I'd hardly call it great or say that it holds a candle to other Ghibli works.
Also, imho, the ending was disappointing. It's like they took the final version of the film and lopped off the last 5-10 minutes of the movie.
That was a great scene. Unfortunately I only saw bits and pieces of the movie when it was aired. I got curious and looked up other Ghibli works and discovered that they did "Spirited Away" which I thought was a decent movie. Sometimes if you just look at the artwork in a movie/anime/cartoon etc you can tell if it's done by the same company. I might have to check out some other Ghibli works now.
It was good and I liked it like most Ghibli stuff, I think my girlfriend likes it a lot more than I do though. I think this had more of a couples/girl target audience.

It was god-aweful.
