This was bound to get made, so lets get started shall we.

Post your favorite/greatest movies you've ever seen. It can be as long or short of a list as you want. You can even categorize them if you like.

Here are mine:

From the 1940's-60's

-Spellbound

-Rope

-Strangers on A Train

-Rear Window

-Dial M For Murder

-To Catch A Thief

-The Man Who Knew Too Much

-12 Angry Men

-North By Northwest

-The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

-Chinatown

From the 1970's-90's

-Dawn of the Dead

-Alien

-Escape From New York

-Blade Runner

-The Thing

-The Matrix

For me, it's basically the characters/story-telling from the 40's/60's next to the special effects/visionary styles of the 70's/90's. I think these are some of the greatest movies ever made, and highly recommend them to anyone.

Those were my picks, now lets see all of yours.

My favorite movie of all time is and always will be Rushmore (1998). No other movie has ever come close for me. It's the most underrated Bill Murray movie ever. It has geniusly written dry and witty dialogue (co-written by Owen Wilson before he was famous, actually), and an absolutely perfect soundtrack to accompany it. I think everyone in the world should see it.

It certainly is. Laughing out loud And if you end up liking Rushmore, you should definitely also check out The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Bill Murray is so totally badass in it. It's by the same director, and it's also starring Owen Wilson (who co-wrote Rushmore), Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe, Cate Blanchett, and Anjelica Huston.

Life Aquatic I did see on Showtime. Whats really wierd is I see it in the PX on occasion and reach to buy it and then some random B-horror film or a movie I haven't seen in a long time pops out at me like The Proffesional.

Fight Club and The Prestige are my all time favorites.

There's only 3 people that can do what I do, and I'm 2 of them.

If you like The Prestige and Fight Club, you'll love The Illusionist.

Basically a mix of both movies.

Squids gonna squid.
