Idea: Steins;Gate is set in the summer of 2010, approximately one year after the events that took place in Chaos;Head, in Akihabara. Physical locales of Akihabara like the Radio Kaikan building can be spotted in the game. According to Chiyomaru Shikura, who headed the planning of Steins;Gate, Akihabara was chosen because it is an easy place for acquiring hardware parts which makes it the ideal place for people interested in inventing and tinkering with things. The notion of time and time traveling are the main themes of the game. The concept of cause and effect is featured prominently in the game as the protagonist travels back in time numerous times to perform different actions in an attempt to alter what has happened in the future.

Why: Steins;Gate was an excellent anime when it first came out, now that it has a dub format it is available to a much wider audiance. I'm recomending this for a weekend slot, maybe something nearer to where Berserker used to hold in the time slot. The show can start a bit slow... developing the mystery and characters, but when things actually get real you find yourself actually invested in what happens to these people and that makes the payoff all that much more satisfying.
Memories is a compilation of three separate stories, each very different than the last. The film is mostly directed and written by Katsuhiro Otomo, who put out such hits as Akira, Steamboy, Metropolis, and Musishi, with one of the featured stories being scripted by the late Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue, Paprika, Paranoia Agent)

I deeply enjoyed this film, especially Magnetic Rose and Cannon Fodder, the first and third vignettes in the film, and I believe the community would greatly enjoy them as well.
Following the death of his partner Jason Todd, the second Robin, Bruce retired from crime fighting. During those years of retirement, crime rates in Gotham increased to the point of feeling like the citizens are living in hell. Taking place in the near future, 10 years after Bruce's retirement, Gotham City is being terrorized by the Mutants. Following the acts of violence by the Mutants, Bruce Wayne now 55 years old, decides to come out of retirement and once again become the Dark Knight to rid Gotham of the Mutant threat. Inspired by his recent actions, 13 year old Carrie Kelley decides to aid the Caped Crusader in his war against crime and corruption by taking the role as the new Robin.
As for why this movie should be on TA other than the usual "It's the Goddamn Batman" response, well not only this movie is an adaption to one of DC's best comic book series, but the story and animation are amazing. The fight scenes are well done. Plus the voice acting is pretty good, especially with Peter Weller(aka Robocop) voicing Batman. The background music for this is pretty epic as well. After watching this movie I can say that this is definitely on the level of Under The Red Hood, maybe higher. Besides, who wouldn't want to see 55 yr old Batman kicking ass?
"You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table. And I'm the surgeon."
-The Goddamn Batman
"If it's suicide you're after, I have an old family recipe. It's slow and painful. You'd like it."
Also inb4 why no Kevin Conroy voicing Batman in this.
Do you have a preference? When you watch anime ( if you do ) do you have any comments or thoughts on the difference or superiority of either subtitled to VA dubbed?
The series is set in a world where childhood imaginary friends co-exist with humans and is set in an orphanage designed for outgrown or abandoned imaginary friends in which they may reside until adoption by another child. After being forced to sacrifice his imaginary friend Bloo, a young boy named Mac bargains with the caretakers and employees working at Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends; that they guard Bloo from adoption so long as Mac continues to visit the center daily. The series focuses on the escapades experienced by the mischievous Bloo, Mac, and the array of eccentric, colorful characters inhabiting Foster's Home, or the obstacles with which they may be challenged.
I think this show still captures the spirit of classic Cartoon Network, to me this show is on par with the likes of other classic cartoons TA currently has in rotation.
This show would fit nicely into the Cartoon Cartoon section of evening schedule. it could work very well alternating with a show like Power Puff Girls and Courage the Cowardly Dog. It could work with Power Puff Girls: Monday & Friday; Foster's: Wednesday; Dexter's Lab: Tuesday & Thursday.
After reading the Broadcast forums for awhile i was surprised no one came up with this. As you Know TA shows every single DBZ movie on Friday (the 2 Specials included and Bio-Broly not included thank god.) So in your opinion what is your favorite DBZ movie aired on TA and why?
Well as you should all know by now, Borderlands 2 is out Tuesday!!!
I expect everyone has already pre-ordered it and pre-downloaded it on steam.
What class is everyone gonna start on? Im thinking ill start with Zero the assassin.
Holy crap, I can't believe this hasn't been suggested yet!
I watched this anime for the first time years ago, and it was the first anime I ever watched with Comcast OnDemand.
It's a truly great anime, and it would be a fine, if not welcome addition to Toonami Aftermath.
The anime is based on the manga of the same name, and revolves around a girl named Utena Tenjo. She attends a fancy school and getts wrapped up in mystical sword duels over the right to marry the "Rose Bride", a young girl named Anthy. The rest falls into place, but if you'd like to look up more, here is a link,
and a trailer from Googletube.
This anime might seem different, like it's meant for only girls, and it kind of is, but it is still very much enjoyable to male audiences. I hope you higher up consider adding this classic to the line up in the future.
Code Monkeys is an American television program based around a video game company called Gameavision, and it has impressive 80's style graphics to mimic what it would be like set inside a video game (Not that of ReBoot mind you!)
My personal opinion: It's a great show filled with tons of laughs.
Where it could be placed on the Schedule -- I think it would primarily be on the weekends late at night, seeing as though it would air late at night anyway.
It is an English dub
Has 2 seasons, approximately 22 mintues between each episode
Season 1 had 13 episodes total
Season 2 also had 13 episodes total
--For a grand total of 26 episodes.
I hope that it could make on the Schedule, but if not, thought I'd give it a shot - Thanks!
I'm big fan of Batman TAS. However, after watching Batman TAS + Adventure of Batman & Robin for 3 times (emphasis on AoB&R), something cross my mind - how about Toonami Aftermath shows continuation of series.
New Batman Adventures

Highlights of one NBA episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTiPIy32D-E
Unlike TAS (first "season" of Batman) it has less episodes from said season (and just a bit more than AoB&R), some memorable episodes came also from New Adventures arc/season. For example:
*Dick Grayson's arguement with Batman and he becomes Nightwing
*Tim Drake becomes new Robin
*some unforgetfull episodes as well:
*Joker's millions (one of the Joker's boss from his younger days dies and he inherits Mob King's fortune, leading to comical developments)
*Over the Edge (Batgirl's death leads to unimaginable events between Gotham's finest and Bat Family)
*Mad Love (Harley Quinn's origin story... worth of mentioning it was made into comic; one of the BEST episode NBA has to offer)
As for the reason why am I thinking this show is TA worthy - not so many people on chat heard of this arc. After few minutes of conversation they were totally hooked about its concept, but were baffled why it is not on the schedule plan.
Where in schedule I see NBA? Either as new episodes for already on-going Batman TAS block or for episodes after Superman TAS on weekends. Both ways are fine really.
