Description: A dream of falling from the sky...and then birth. Rakka is born from a large cocoon into the Old Home, greeted by a group of females with small wings on their backs and shining halos above their heads. Soon Rakka’s own wings grow, a halo is placed on her head and she is told that she must work in the nearby town of Grie. She soon realizes that the town and the entire world they live in are confined behind the Wall, a tall, impenetrable wall that none except the mysterious Toga are allowed to exit.
Rakka, a newly born Haibane (Angel) awakens into an unfamiliar world with only a strange dream of falling from the sky as her only memory. Alone and scared of who and what she is, she is cared for by fellow Haibane as they try and search for the meaning of their existence as well as what lies beyond their town's imprisoning walls.
Reason: This just seems like an interesting dramatic anime to watch. The art style and dubbing look fantastic. Check out the trailer . It fits into a more adult theme like Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing and Trigun. I think it would be interested adding this into a schedule. Possibly a rotating one (like what we have with the Gundams) with another anime of a similar type (may I hint at Eden of the East).
Where on Schedule: Midnight Run, Toonami Afterdark
Dubbed: Yes, an English dub is available.
I figured this should go here, since it's about Toonami and all. Every once in a while Toonami puts up a new promo or bump or whatever, and I figured we should have this thread so people can find them easier. If ya find one, whether it's an actual promo or just one of the newer commercials or a game review, post them here!

Description: Karin, a DNA operator from the future, is on a mission to change the course of history by stopping Junta Momonari from becoming the Mega-Playboy who fathered 100 children and led to the overpopulation of the world. But Junta is no playboy; in fact he is allergic to girls. But when Karin shoots him with the wrong DNA-altering bullet, he starts sporadically becoming the Mega-Playboy capable of charming any woman. Karin must try to restore the situation to normal before the change to Mega-Playboy becomes irreversible.
Reason: In all honesty, this anime looks hilariously terrible. It also looks like it would fit in perfectly with our old-school shonen-filled schedule. This anime, created in 1994, has a very anime-nostalgic feel to it. DNA² fits into the genres of action, comedy, romance, and science fiction while showcasing themes of fanservice, love rectangle, multiple personality, and time travel. So, I say lets try it out It may not be my cup of tea, but if it makes the members happy then why the hell not showcase it.
Dubbed: Yes there is an English dub available.
Where on the schedule: Rising Sun I, Rising Sun II, or Midnight Run
Lupin the III: Dead or Alive Description from IMDB:
Lupin seeks a lost treasure on a heavely protected island and seeks the help of the treasure holders former lover. Meanwhile a million dollar bounty has been put on his head, and is wanted Dead or Alive!
I liked the movie, fits well with Lupin going on every night, there is a dub version, I have checked, it would fit in due to its content and relevancy with Toonami (Anime Movie). This is the last of the Lupin movies. Overall I liked it and would not mind seeing it on the stream at least one time.
Like a lot of DBZ fans, I've probably bought a lot of the video games that have come out for the franchise. Heck I bought a PS2 just to get my hands on Budokai 3. (and a bunch of other PS2 exclusives) But even since the near perfection of Budokai 3, (IMO) every game since then has seemed weak in comparison. I mean when Sagas first hit, I was awestricken by the graphics (it was pre Xbox 360 2005) by revisiting now, it hasn't aged well at all. And I was never fond of that weird Street Fighter clone called Super Dragon Ball Z. (its big selling point was that the creator of Street Fighter helped make the game) And I also never got into the Budokai Tenkaichi series since I could never get into the free roam play style and how they went from 50 playable characters to 150 by the 3rd game. (although I've heard from the DBZ community that in retrospect, Budokai Tenkaichi 2 has aged pretty well) Oh and don't even get started on the abomination that is known as DBZ Infinite World. Now Burst Limit was trying to harken back to the Budokai 3 style and added some online multiplayer, but still pales in comparison to Budokai 3. (they forgot the Buu Saga for starters, even though it's the weakest in DBZ IMO) And before it's brought up, let's try to keep this discussion away from any of the Raging Blast games, Ultimate Tenkaichi or the game that shall not be mentioned (the Kinect DBZ game) With all of these semi mediocre releases that have come out in the last 5 to 7 years, it feels a lot of other gamers that aren't really hardcore fans of DBZ just want the franchise to die like the whole Guitar Hero/Rock Band music craze that happened 3 or 4 years ago. (Heck even Screwattack named it as one of the franchises that needs to die Here's the video to see what I'm talking about: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/top-10-screwattack/729504) But with all of that said, can the DBZ franchise redeem itself in the eyes of gamers?
My answer is an obvious yes. In this modern renaissance of the fighting genre where Street Fighter, MvC, SFvTekken and a bunch of others are coming back to the power they had in the mid 90's (taking over after sidescrollers and before the FPS genre took over them) a fresh reboot of a DBZ game could be do able. But not only possible, it'd probably wouldn't even be that hard really. (speaking from a fan's perspective and not a developers) Now the following describtion would be my idea, but feel free to add whatever you want to this fantasy/dream project.
My idea would be to start a Kickstarter page for Game developers that are DBZ fans too to come up with a prototype of a game that combines the kind of cutscenes that were used in Budokai 1 story instead of the talking comic bubbles, the ability to fuse almost any kind of characters like Cell and Buu fusing from Budokai 2 (here's what I'm talking about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upeWdA0LmwU starts at 6:35) and incorporate almost everything else from Budokai 3 including the exact same controls and absolutely no motion controls. (personal preference) Add some new characters along with everyone else from Budokai 3 like:
Future Gohan from Future Trunks timeline
Add the rest of the Ginyu Force maybe
Put Android 19 back in maybe,
and Baby Vegeta or Super 17,
Demon King Piccolo
Super Android 13
but don't add totally useless characters like Kid Chi Chi or Bulma and make the story from the beginning of Dragon Ball to the end of GT. (no do not start the whole GT doesn't exist argument I still enjoyed being able to play as SS4 Goku/Vegeta and Omega Shenron even if they were major troll characters) Have the graphics be cell shaded and look like Budokai 3 and in HD, (maybe look even better than burst limit or the Raging Blast games) have it for the PS3 or 360 and definitely have online play. Pitch it to Namco/Bandai saying that haven't done anything really good with the Dragon Ball Z license since they aquired it and polish up the prototype version a bit with Dimps and taa daa, you have Budokai 4.
Now that's what I would want to do in order to keep the franchise somewhat relevant in gaming. I know a lot of it can be fantasizing, but I think that if something like that were to be a reality, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I just hope that if they were to try something like that, it wouldn't go the route of Infinite World. (God how I detest that game) So hey leave some feedback and tell what you would want for your dream DBZ game.

First off, don't think that this is a Mac v.s. PC argument/debate, it isn't. The only question I ask is that now that Steve Jobs has passed on, (R.I.P) can we make the Mac and IOS devices more like traditional gaming devices? Insiders from Apple say that basically Steve Jobs was the big thing keeping back the Mac from being on the PC level when it came to games. And he was also the reason why the IOS devices (i.e. the Iphone, Ipad, and Ipod Touch) couldn't get some kind of peripheral that had buttons that would allow for more interaction on the devices. I'm not saying that the games on any of the Apple products are bad, I'm just asking if now the Apple products can expand their gaming horizons. (Though I am aware that Apple insiders are basically saying that the company will follow in his footsteps for probably the next decade or so before they even think about doing something Steve wouldn't be comfortable with)
Prometheus Film Discussion:
What did you think of the movie? Discuss your theories and feel free to make connections and talk about the Alien's Universe.
I personally loved the film, but found a bunch of issues with it. Despite its predictability, the plotholes (though they open up plenty of connections with the other films in the series and for theories) were massive and I felt when discussed lead to contradictions in the plot of Prometheus (as a single entity) itself.
But other than that, the movie was an awesome precursor and I definitely recommend it. The visuals are stunning, the acting is up to par, and the story, though flawed, works with the overall concept of the saga.
