Toon, maybe you can alternate between Interstella 5555 with Daft Punk's Electroma. Here's the info on the movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daft_Punk%27s_Electroma
Why do I think it should be here? It always gets boring seeing the same thing every week. That's why I think that by adding this movie to the weekend lineup (like I've said earlier, alternating between this movie and Interstella 5555), people would be able to enjoy something new during 10:00PM when they get tired of watching the same movie over and over for a while. Plus the two artists that make up Daft Punk made this movie based on their robot personas.
I was thinking we toon should program special playlists for holidays like halloween, x-mas, vallentines day, an maybe some others if im leaving any out.
But just thinking about it every show has a episode or 2 for each of those holidays, but its not so much their for the anime shows.
Also i was thinnking some movies as well with rifftrax of course, what are yall's suggestions about this?
Black Lagoon tells the tale of Lagoon Company: "a delivery business who brushes against the law from time to time". The only thing thicker than it's rich dialogue and action is the smokescreen from cigarettes and bullets that it leaves behind. Lagoon Company is centered in the fictional city of Roanapur which is essentially the underworld capital of the planet. Entering the city requires a boat ride past a corroded buddha statue, or a car ride on a bridge with a noose hanging over it - as a warning. The Russian, Chinese, Japanese, (and one other) mafias all have chapters there. Of the four members of Lagoon Company, the main action hero is Revy (Rebecca). She was designed as a counterexample to the traditional japanese woman. She's tattooed, wears revealing clothing, and won't think twice about killing or spouting off attitude. An always entertaining view into her sanity shows up when a demonic grin spreads across her face whenever bloodshed is around the corner. With a delivery company not afraid to get their hands dirty and four mafias in the area who have work that needs to be done, you know there's room for conflict.
This show is nothing short of a pure roller coaster. It brought me back to the days when Cowboy Bebop was fresh. While inferior to the classic, it delivers much of the same, and the action tenfold. The misadventures of Lagoon Company are always entertaining and riddled with bullet holes. Here's one of the many fine quotes that perfectly dictate just what this anime is about.
"What can a powerless chinese bitch rely on if there's no god? It's money. And guns. With those two things, the world's a great place."
Again, a recommended late nighter. I would suggest putting this one near Bebop in the timeslot, considering they are similar even if this one is a bit more robust. If not that, maybe making room for it in thte midnight run. The show is two 12 episode seasons long, and is currently in the middle of an OVA (1 episode out so far) so it should keep a time slot filled for a while to say the least.
So today I came up with an idea for a Cartoon stream. After hearing about a streaming site called Veetle (which I heard about on here). So right now I'm working on schedules for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I've made schedules for Mondays-Thursdays but don't think it looks so good. I found this cool site that Toonami Aftermath could stream on called Veetle. You can use just video files if you want and what not. I'm streaming just using video files here: http://www.veetle.com/v/4c88186166d59 (I'm justing testing it out to show you guys the site)
I think it works better than Justin.tv in my opinion. Anyway check out the site please.
I dunno how many people have ever watched this show but it is an amazing anime that I would love to see on Toonamiaft during one of the off timeslots. Probably a weekend thing or something like that. S-Cry-Ed was on Adult Swim and aired from 2005-2007.
MIB: The Series was based on the 1997 blockbuster Men In Black and continued where the film left off, though with some minor changes. Agent K remained an agent and partner to Agent J (although a Marvel Comics one-shot revealed that K's memories were restored in an unseen case). Agent L was moved to the lab inside Men In Black Headquarters. The headquarters itself was no longer under the ventilator building of the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, but now at what looked like a disused area under LaGuardia airport.
this was a great show for anyone who remembers, recurring characters, plots from the movie and a decent run of 53 episodes over 4 seasons early morning weekends Rising Sun I or II .
yeah i know just bare with me it has been tormenting me for a while the web comic pokes fun at graphic novels and comic books one recent is about dead pool poking fun at fantomex for looking too much like storm shadow from the gi joe show plz help
p.s. sorry about the double post i fogot to put the title in the first one so i could'nt accesss it to edit it
Description: Chance "T-Bone" Furlong and Jake "Razor" Clawson were members of Megakat City's paramilitary law enforcement agency, known as the Enforcers. Unfortunately, the Enforcers were commanded by Feral, an overbearing but incompetent Enforcer who was believed to have owed his position entirely to political machinations. While in pursuit of Dark Kat, one of the main arch-villains of the series, the two rebelled against Enforcer Commander Feral's orders to fall back and leave Dark Kat to him. When they objected, citing their already-acquired target lock, Commander Feral used his jet to slap their wing, sending Chance and Jake's jet crashing into Enforcer headquarters and allowing Dark Kat to get away. In his anger, Feral discharged Chance and Jake from the Enforcers and reassigned them to work at the city's military salvage yard to pay for the damage to the Enforcer Headquarters.
Using discarded military parts and weapons from the salvage yard, Chance and Jake built themselves a three-engine jet fighter called the Turbokat, which resembled several different jet fighters, most notably the Grumman F-14 and the Saab Draken, along with a handful of such other vehicles as the Cyclotron, a motorcycle built into the jet; the Turbo Mole, a subterranean vehicle used to drill underground; the Hoverkat, a militarized hovercraft, the Thunder Truck, a militarized Jeep modified from their tow truck, and they also built two jet skis which they used in Mutation City. All these vehicles were stored, along with a training area and other equipment, in a secret hangar below the yard.
Reason: This is one of my favorite shows growing up although it has a short run so i was thinking weekends rising sun II or even Toonami noon but the action is great the main characters play out like superheroes with secret identities and have some great jokes and if it wasnt for turner shutting it down cause of violence I'm sure we would all still be watching them today
